Tux or suit for a wedding?

It is the first question most grooms ask us. We lean to the tux. It's one of the biggest events of your life, and a tux gives the night its elegance. A suit you can wear anytime, anywhere. A tux is the event look.

Choose a tuxedo when

• The wedding is in the evening, or starts in the afternoon and goes into the night.
• It's in a ballroom, a hall or a formal restaurant.
• It's a garden wedding that goes into the evening. The tux is still number one there.

Choose a suit when

• The garden wedding is over before sunset. A suit in navy, grey or light tan, in a lighter cloth, feels right in the sun.
• It's on a beach or an island: a lightweight suit. A tux is too heavy for the sand and the heat.
• The groom in ivory, the party in tan or a light colour, keeps everyone cool.

Make it yours

• Rent the tux, buy the shirt. A new shirt is crisper in every photo, and the tux feels like your own.
• Or own the tux. We can do more on alterations, it's yours for every event after, and it stays a memory of the day.
